  • CHINOOK THE CINNAMON CUB and his forest adventures

    Allen Chaffee

language (Abela Publishing, April 23, 2020)
Here are the stories and adventures of Chinook, the mischievous Cinnamon Bear, who lives, wild, in the rich woods of Oregon. In this book you will be able to follow the adventures of Chinook, the cinnamon bear and his sister Snookie and of the Ranger’s Boy, the child will learn of tree mice and burrow mice, and of the little mountain pack-rats who build tepees, of those giant mousers, the bobcat and the California mountain lion, to say nothing of the bat, pika, elk, and snowshoe rabbit, and the ever present Douglas squirrel. He will wander through forests of spruce and fir to the snow-clad peaks, and back along cascading rivers, as the two cubs learn of the world in which they live. The Literary Review of the New York Evening Post has said of this book: This little bear will delight all children just because he is a ball of mischief, sagacity, awkwardness—a real bear. Allen Chaffee’s books are unusual for vivacity, humor, and truth to the characters of the no longer dumb beasts.10% of the profit from the sale of this book will be donated to charities.Yesterday's Books for Today's Charities===============TAGS: #Chinook, #Cinnamon, #Bear_Cub, #folklore, #fairytales, #childrensstories, childrensbooks, #animalstories, #forestanimals, #Oregon, #Woods, #Animal, #Story, #Backwoods, #Boy, #Bear Family, #LearntoSwim, #California_Lion, #Home, #Squirrels_Nest, #Tree_Mouse, #Mazama, #Mysterious, #Lost, #Fog, #Team_Work, #Rat_Town, #Live, #Snowball, #Indian_Trapper, #Ravens_Nest, #Play, #Clown, #Mouse, #Wings, #Smuggler, #Douglas_Squirrel, #Company, #Wapiti, #Cougar, #Coasting, #Mountain_Beaver, #Big_Quake, #burrow, #snookiethebear, #tepee, #bobcat, #spruce, #fir, #mischief, #vivid, #vivacity, #humor, #humour, #forestranger, #ranger, #bat, #elk, #snowshoe, #rabbit, #mountain_lion, #Allanchaffee,

  • The Adventures Of Twinkly Eyes, The Little Black Bear...

    Allen Chaffee

Paperback (Ulan Press, Oct. 11, 2012)
This book was originally published prior to 1923, and represents a reproduction of an important historical work, maintaining the same format as the original work. While some publishers have opted to apply OCR (optical character recognition) technology to the process, we believe this leads to sub-optimal results (frequent typographical errors, strange characters and confusing formatting) and does not adequately preserve the historical character of the original artifact. We believe this work is culturally important in its original archival form. While we strive to adequately clean and digitally enhance the original work, there are occasionally instances where imperfections such as blurred or missing pages, poor pictures or errant marks may have been introduced due to either the quality of the original work or the scanning process itself. Despite these occasional imperfections, we have brought it back into print as part of our ongoing global book preservation commitment, providing customers with access to the best possible historical reprints. We appreciate your understanding of these occasional imperfections, and sincerely hope you enjoy seeing the book in a format as close as possible to that intended by the original publisher.
  • The adventures of Fleet Foot and her fawns, a true-to-nature story for children and their elders

    Allen Chaffee

Paperback (Leopold Classic Library, June 12, 2015)
About the Book The action and adventure genre in fiction depicts events or a series of events that happen outside the ordinary course of the protagonist's daily life, generally accompanied by dangerous episodes and physical action. Adventure stories are quick moving, with the pace of the plot being a critical component of mood setting. Action and adventure have been common book themes since the earliest days of fiction writing. In fact, the plots of Medieval romances were comprised of a series of adventures. Action / adventure fiction often overlaps with other genres, such as: war novels, crime novels, sea stories, Robinsonades, and spy stories. Also in this Book Our titles on adventurers and explorers present the lives and exploits of people who explored or travelled the world in a pioneering way. These include naturalists, sailors, mountain climbers, dog sledders, swimmers, pilots, and underwater explorers. Their activities had profound effects on the dissemination of religion, agricultural techniques, cultural values, disease, and the establishment of colonies throughout the world. About us Leopold Classic Library has the goal of making available to readers the classic books that have been out of print for decades. While these books may have occasional imperfections, we consider that only hand checking of every page ensures readable content without poor picture quality, blurred or missing text etc. That's why we: republish only hand checked books; that are high quality; enabling readers to see classic books in original formats; that are unlikely to have missing or blurred pages. You can search "Leopold Classic Library" in categories of your interest to find other books in our extensive collection. Happy reading!
